TRANSTORACIC ECHOCARDIOGRAM

It is another basic test in a cardiological consultation. Allows to see the heart's motion in real-time and provides information about its function, wall thickness, and valves. The transducer moves to different locations on the chest or abdominal wall and sends sound waves, picking up echoes reflecting other parts of the heart.

By adding Doppler and color Doppler technology, it is possible to analyze blood flow behavior and diagnose such frequent alterations as valvular heart disease. Currently, there are other complementary advanced techniques: Strain and 3D Echo.
