HOLTER PRESSURE MONITORING

Outpatient testing, that usually lasts from 24-48 hours.

The patients receive a sphygmomanometer (in the form of a cuff) placed around their arms. The recording equipment is usually placed on a belt or inside a pocket.

During the recording period, the sphygmomanometer inflates and deflates in a programmed manner to measure blood pressure figures. The patient is required to write down certain circumstances that may cause variations in their blood pressure numbers throughout the day.
