What is Cardiotips offering you?
CARDIOTIPS is a medical services company that partners with Quirónsalud to optimize the management of the human and technological resources of the Group's hospital in the Spanish province of Ciudad Real, Castilla - La Mancha.
It is a priority for the Quirónsalud Group to offer Ciudad Real a healthcare service at the same level as its facilities in Madrid. In line with this, CARDIOTIPS' team leads a transformational proposal: reorganizing the Cardiology service (which previously only offered consultation and emergency care) and making the most of the state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment available at the hospital.
What is the goal of our team? We aim that patients arriving at the hospital in Ciudad Real find a solution to all their heart issues without needing to refer them to different facilities or cities.
Three years later, this alliance has already achieved many of its objectives. CARDIOTIPS provides the Quirónsalud Ciudad Real Hospital a qualified team of high-level cardiology and cardiac imaging medical specialists. It offers a portfolio of diagnostic studies that include echocardiograms, stress tests with oxygen consumption, and high-resolution ultrasound scans performed with the latest technology, such as the Vivid E95 Ultra ultrasound scanner or ergospirometry equipment. We also conduct in-house cardiac imaging studies through computed axial tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging. Patients with cardiac pathologies requiring hospitalization are admitted and treated in Ciudad Real. In addition, healthcare goes hand in hand with training for our team, reflected in the annual Cardiology Refresher Days we started to organize in 2020.
Interventional cardiology is a medium-term project that requires a significant financial investment. However, catheterization and cardiac surgery are the only procedures we still refer patients with cardiac pathologies to the Quirónsalud La Luz Hospital in Madrid. We also aim to change that in the future and perform all necessary treatments in-house at Ciudad Real.
Finally, CARDIOTIPS's work managing cardiac care services in Ciudad Real has prevention as a priority. Spain (and therefore the Community of Castilla - La Mancha) has an aging population with many comorbidities and associated pathologies: vascular problems, diabetes, and hypertension. It is also increasingly common to find a younger patient in consultation, but with an unhealthy lifestyle, including smoking and eating habits that lead to obesity.
The Quirónsalud Group's motto is "Health from person to person," reflecting the interest in achieving personalized attention to the needs of each patient. Therefore, an essential part of the work of CARDIOTIPS' medical team is to advocate for people to understand the importance of receiving preventive and early medical attention. You don't have to be sick to see a cardiologist. As a matter of fact, after a certain age, a timely checkup can make a difference in the quality and length of life.
